Woohoo!!! I had my first sale on etsy today!! I am so excited. Even did a little celebration dance around the house when I found out. There is something so magical in knowing someone else likes something you have created. Makes me want to head straight to the art closet. But that will have to wait a few days.

The family is headed to Dallas for a mini-vacation. We may go to the circus tomorrow. It is either that or Six Flags and I am not sure I want to ride roller coasters in 100 degree heat. Even though the art closet has to wait I am hoping the excitement remains until I can find time to get back in there!

Once again it seems like forever since I have posted on my own blog. I spend lots of time looking at others but rarely pay attention to my own. Why? I'm not sure. Sometimes it feels like there are always a million other things going on. I always say I am going to try and really make a better effort to get my blog going -- maybe I am jinxing myself. So, instead, I am not going to say one word about how I will post/update more frequently....Uh, wait a minute. Did I already jinx myself?!!! Only time will tell.

I did manage to add some new goodies to my etsy shop this week. Be sure and take a peek! I love the pictures my hubby took of my vintage dress pattern magnets. So much so that I am even thinking of creating some cards featuring pictures of them.

Wow, has it really been just shy of a month since my first blog entry? Where has the time gone? I guess in a way that is a good thing. I've spent the last few weeks putting goodies in my Etsy shop, ordering business cards and trying to make a little time to be creative.

I am super excited about something that just came together this week. My dolls are going to be carried in a really cool local shop!!!! HarleQueens recently opened and is carrying a lot of amazing work from local artists. They are going to carry my box dolls, cloth dolls, paper ATC dolls and magnets. She liked the box dolls best but wanted to put the other things in the shop to give a nice representation of what I do. What a great feeling to know that someone thinks what I do is worth something. Woooohoooo!!!! Now I get to sit back and wait for that magical first sale!
So until that happens I have given myself a new project. I am going to begin carrying altered art supplies in my Etsy shop. I love shopping at estate sales, flea markets and thrift stores. And since there is only so much room in my art closet I think it is time to start sharing. It will take a little bit of time to get things ready but I am excited about the opportunity.

Yea, my first blog post!! How exciting is this? I hope over time this blog will become a source of inspiration for others.....honest inspiration!!!

I put the finishing touches on my Etsy shop last night and started putting a few things in there. Well, ok, two but that's a start right? Stacey with http://pixelcafe.etsy.com/ created my awesome etsy store banner. She is also working on some business cards too. I can't wait to get them printed.

I will be adding more altered art dolls to my Etsy store this week so be sure and stop by to check them when you have a chance.
